Marghretta McBean holds a M.S.in Management Information Systems with a specialty in Database Design and Security, which she received from City College of the City University of New York.
She received her B.A. in Classical Philology (Greek and Latin) with a Mathematics minor from Washington Square College of New York University.
Ms. McBean is a member of WITI (Women In Technology International) and Silicon Alley Council.
She is a former national board member of American Mensa Ltd.; past president of AWC/NYC (Association for Women in Computing/New York City Chapter); past secretary and chair, Small Business Committee, for Community Board 4 (Manhattan); and former treasurer of the Clinton Community Garden Inc.
She has been a long-time volunteer at the New York Studio of Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic and New York City Ballet Inc. and is the Testing Coordinator for Greater New York Mensa Inc.
